And so the week of summer exploration has come to an end! We played, we made music, we did activities, and made lemonade! It was a week of fun and laughter and the learners enjoyed all the activities and new friends!
Here's a sneak peek into the activities that we did!
ENJOY!
DAY 1:
We were given our name tags, and then had to find our matching group members who had the same summer theme picture in their name tags, after that, we rolled the dice and played rock paper scissors to decide our seating position in the classroom. Once at our tables, we made our own name tags.
We learned some basic English words about summer that we went over each day of the week, and we also made our very own sailboats using sand to help the bottles float.
DAY 2:
We made our very own starfish with a happy summer note for mom and dad, and then we went for a walk around the rice paddies to look for leaves with nice patterns so that we could use them to make patterns of our very own.
DAY 3:
Play... was the name of the day! We played inside we played outside we played in the pool, and we also made windmills, which was lots of fun!
DAY 4:
We made paper airplanes which we flew outside. Colored sand candles were next up, and finally, we played some drums to our own beats that the kids made up on their own.
DAY 5:
We ended our glorious week with another round of water play in the pools and some delicious homemade lemonade! Mmm!
What a lovely week we had!
